Emergency water main repairs have been causing congestion this morning after a road was closed.

Motorists travelling between Rickmansworth and Croxley Green were stuck in traffic jams today (May 9) as work was carried out following a burst water main.

Water supplies were disrupted late on Sunday afternoon and into the evening.

Scotts Hill remains closed, with bus services forced to divert from the area.

Carousel Buses is warning passengers of problems on the 103 service.

During this time, the 103 is not stopping at stops between Rickmansworth Station and Watford Grammar School.

The service said: “We are looking for a suitable diversion and delays are likely.”

Affinity Water says a repair team isolated the damaged section of a water main after issues yesterday evening.

Following the disruption in supply, water was restored by 12.10am.

According to the water company, a repair team will remain on site and continue to repair the main today.
