Hello! My name’s Charlie and I’m a lovely four-year-old boy who came to the National Animal Welfare Trust as a stray.

I’m a real sweetheart who just needs to build my confidence and realise the world isn’t that scary. Here at the centre, I spend a lot of my time hiding and keeping to myself, so I’d really like a calm, quiet home away from any busy or main roads where I could take my time exploring and get to know you.

It does take me a little while to feel confident around people and happy enough to venture out for some fuss, but once I do we’ll become best friends. I love undivided attention and all of the chicken or cheese you can offer! Food is most definitely the way to my heart (and chin rubs).

Watford Observer:

Ideally, I’d be the only pet in the home with someone who’s there most of the day to spend quality time with me and help build my confidence. I could live with adults only or a family with school-age children.

I’ve been medically checked by a vet, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered and come with four free weeks of Petplan Insurance.

Watford Observer:

If you’re an understanding owner with experience of nervous cats, we could be the perfect match! Email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 020 8 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange to meet.

  • The NAWT will be holding an open day on Sunday where you can meet Charlie and his friends.

The event, which is taking place from 11am to 4pm at the Tylers Way centre in Watford, will feature a fun dog show and more than 30 stalls.
