Proposals for a new motorway service station are among the planning applications validated by Watford, Three Rivers and Dacorum councils in the week beginning May 16.

The outline application is for the service area to be built on land between Junctions 16 and 17 of the M25 near Chalfont St Peter.

The plans have been submitted on behalf of the Extra MSA Group, which has ten service areas across England including on the M25 at Cobham and the M40 at Beaconsfield.

The application has been lodged with Buckinghamshire Council, which has invited comments from Three Rivers as a neighbouring authority.
