LEGO has confirmed it is shutting its store in Atria Watford.
Nine years after the opening in Watford’s shopping centre, the Lego Group says it has made the "difficult decision" to shut the local branch.
Shoppers will still have time to buy last-minute blocks over the summer before the lease ends in September this year.
A LEGO spokesperson told the Observer: “We’re constantly assessing our store portfolio to ensure we provide the best LEGO experience for our shoppers and fans.
“Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close our Watford store when the lease ends in September, 2022.”
It is understood that staff members have been offered a role at other LEGO stores.

LEGO fanatics can buy products online at LEGO.com, or visit at The Entertainer in Aria Watford, Smyth’s Toys in the Waterfields Retail Park and Toy Galaxy in Barnet.
Despite closing locally, LEGO will still be branching out with a new Dublin shop and renovating the Leicester Square spot to be the “biggest in the world”.
