A man has admitted breaking into a car and stealing someone’s Blue Light discount card.

Elliot Belsham, 33, admitted interfering with two vehicles in Bushey and taking a purse and the card, which enables NHS, emergency services and armed forces workers to access discounts.

The Rickmansworth Road resident appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court earlier this month and pleaded guilty to the three offences on June 1.

He was fined £360 and ordered to pay a £36 victim services surcharge and £40 costs.

Also in court

A Watford man assaulted a PCSO and a police officer and was drunk and disorderly in public.

Kevin Falvey admitted the drinking offence, which happened in Northway in Rickmansworth, as well as the two assaults on December 29 last year.

The 59-year-old from Otley Way appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court last week before the case was adjourned to enable a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

He was granted unconditional bail until June 30.
