A teenager who was charged with aggravated vehicle taking after a suspected stolen BMW crash damaged three police cars is set to appear again in court.

The 17-year-old is scheduled at St Albans Magistrates’ Court today (June 29) having also been charged with dangerous driving, and driving without a licence or insurance.

The teen from Milton Keynes, who cannot be named for legal reasons, previously pleaded not guilty to the aggravated vehicle taking charge but guilty to the others.

Acting with another person, he is alleged to have driven a stolen BMW dangerously on the A405 Kingsway, near Garston, on January 18 this year.

There was then an accident that caused damage to three police cars and a crash barrier, according to court documents.

A Herts Police spokesperson previously confirmed two people were arrested on the North Orbital Road (A405) at around 1am on January 18 following a pursuit from the Surrey area.
