A new circular six mile cycle and walking route is proposed around Watford.

The proposed Green Ring would connect numerous locations in the town along with open spaces and parks with the paths spanning 6.7 miles.

The ring would link the town centre, Watford Junction, Cassiobury Park, and the Holywell estate.

The proposed route is shown in the map below or explore in more detail via this link.

Ian Stotesbury, who is responsible for sustainability and transport in Watford, said: “The Green Ring will bring about fantastic new cycling infrastructure across our town and marks the beginning of our wider plans to deliver a range of improvements to tackle congestion.

“The Green Ring will help lots of residents in many ways - to commute across the town or to visit some of the beautiful woodland and rivers our town has to offer.”
