Hello there! My name’s Treacle and I’m a five-year-old male greyhound who’s looking for my forever home. I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust in June when I wasn’t winning enough races.

I’m a lovely, sweet boy who really enjoys being with people. When the team come into my kennel to see me, I can get a bit jumpy but that’s just because I’m so excited. I’ll need lots of training using kind methods to teach me some manners.

I can live with a dog a similar size to me, as long as we get on well here at the rescue centre. I can also live with children if they can cope with my jumpy ways. I can’t live with cats or small furries though as I find the urge to chase them difficult to control.

Watford Observer:

I walk really nicely on my lead and I enjoy short walks to stretch my legs. Then my favourite thing is to come back and play with my toys before I snooze. I can’t wait to find my favourite napping spot in my new home! I’m not used to being left on my own, so this will need to be built up gradually.

Watford Observer:

I’ve been medically checked by a vet; vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered; given an individual training plan and come with four free weeks of Petplan insurance.

If you can give me a good home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit.
