Hello there, my name is Wilbur and I’m a one-year-old male guinea pig who’s looking for a loving home.
I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust a couple of weeks ago when I had to be separated from a rival male guinea pig. (The team here think we fell out over some lady guinea pigs who moved in next to us).
I’m a bit nervous and wary of people but when I get to know you I’ll wheek hello to you - especially if I know you have food for me! I could do with some more experience being gently handled, as at the moment I can be a bit wriggly.
I could still live in a home with another male guinea pig, but we’d need to be introduced slowly to make sure we get on. I could also live with female guinea pigs, but my new owners would need to have me neutered first and keep me away from girls for six weeks post op.
I currently live inside so will need to live indoors in my new home, but I can be gradually moved outside on days when the weather is nice.
I’m a very good boy at eating my vegetables as I know they’re good for me.
I can’t wait to have a family of my own to love. If that could be you, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) so we can meet.
