A Scout from Croxley Green had the honour parading before the Royal Family at Windsor Castle.
Paul Knapp, an elite Queen's Scout from the Rickmansworth and Chorleywood District, paraded with hundreds of colleagues at the castle's annual St George's Day march.
Mr Knapp, 21, of Grove Crescent, then joined five other hand picked colleagues to present the King's colours to the Duke of Kent and Chief Scout Peter Duncan.
He said: "To be chosen was a great honour for me but also a lot of hard work. between us we practiced for six weekends to get it right."
District Commissioner Peter Edwards said: "A Queen's Scout is someone at the very top of the scouting tree. Only a couple of hundred are commissioned each year so for Paul to be one of them is fantastic."
