Cracking down on home burglars and expensive car thieves were key priorities discussed during a senior police meeting.
David Lloyd, police and crime commissioner for Hertfordshire, visited Three Rivers to find out more about issues within the district.
His day started at Rickmansworth police station where he met with chief inspector Alex Warwick. Mr Lloyd learnt that officers are particularly focusing on burglaries, cross border crime and the theft of high value cars.

The commissioner also met with Three Rivers District Council leader Sarah Nelmes and council chief executive Joanne Wagstaffe. Among topics discussed was how to reduce violence against women and girls.
He also learnt about the reality of domestic abuse, including from a mother who is being supported after becoming traumatised by her son’s behaviour.

Mr Lloyd later visited One YMCA Woodlands Café in Leavesden Country Park and Hillside Community Hub in Abbots Langley.
He said: “These district days give me a real insight into understanding the everyday problems and issues.
"It is important that I get to see what is working, and what is failing, from the point of view of the public, partners and the police officers on the ground.”
