A group of youths were seen throwing stones at passing cars before reportedly chucking them at a driver who confronted them.

Six kids, estimated to be between 11 and 14, were targeting vehicles on Horseshoe Lane outside Watford Leisure Centre Woodside at around 7pm yesterday (September 20).

After a 20-year-old’s VW Polo was hit several times, the owner got out to check the damage but the youths kept throwing stones at her before running off.

She said she now needs to replace her windscreen due to “multiple chips and one big crack”, adding: “I am also a student and will need to fund this myself, something I could do without.”

The leisure centre later told her multiple reports of cars being stoned that evening had been received and urged her to contact police.
