Hello, I’m Coco, a seven-year-old girl looking for a calm, quiet home. I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust a month ago when my owner moved but am finding life in the cattery very stressful.
I spend most of my time tucked up in bed as everything is very overwhelming. I’m starting to build up trust with some staff though, and allow them to give me gentle strokes and head rubs while I’m curled up and to pick me up when needed. I’m even starting to feel brave enough to eat the treats that are put on the floor for me – I’m learning that they’re actually very yummy and this must be why people keep offering them to me!
Because of my nervous nature, I’m looking for an owner who’ll be very patient with me and give me time to settle in at my own pace. I’m very sweet and loving once I come out of my shell. I just need time and reassurance to get to that point.
My new home will need to be calm and quiet and I’d like there to be only adults as I find children very scary. I’ll need to be the only pet and would like a garden to explore once I’ve settled in.
If you’re looking for a cat who needs to be given a chance to love, then I could be the girl for you. Email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) so we can arrange to meet.
