Revised plans to knock down two homes and replace them with a block of flats are still facing opposition from neighbours.

Residents fear the three-storey building will reduce their privacy, outlook, and access to light and also say the proposed building is not “in keeping” with the area.

Other comments published in Watford Borough Council’s planning portal describe the scheme as “overdevelopment” and say Watford needs family homes, with the town “oversubscribed” with flats.

The plans include nine parking spaces but locals fear new properties, along with neighbouring Hannover Court, make an already “contentious” parking issue worse.

Planning agent Boyer Planning says the new plans, which do not include affordable housing, have lower bulk, are less "overbearing" on properties in King Georges Avenue and Cassiobridge Road, and that it is an "acceptable" planning proposal.
