Hello there! My name is Flash and I’m a bouncy and excitable four-year-old ex-racing greyhound. I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust three months ago when I wasn’t winning enough races and now I’m looking for my forever home.

I’m a lovely, friendly boy who just loves spending time with people. I’m not used to being left on my own so I’ll need to have the time built up gradually.

I have a high prey drive so can’t live with cats or small pets but would do really well if I could live with another greyhound or dog who’s a similar size to me. I could also live with children, as long as we get on well here at the centre.

Watford Observer:

I’ve never lived in a home before so I’ll need help in learning how to be toilet-trained once I’ve moved in. This means I might be a bit messy at first so I’ll need to be kept somewhere without carpets until I’ve got the hang of it.

The team here say I’m not very interested in toys but this may be because I haven’t had any experience of playing with them.

Watford Observer:

I really hope there’s a family out there with a Flash-shaped hole in their hearts to love me!

If that could be you, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 020 8950 0177 (option 2) to arrange to meet.
