Up to £25,000 is available to help fund activity projects for young people in Watford.

Applications are now open for the Informal Youth Activities Grant that is aimed at helping groups who run events for children aged 12-17.

To be eligible for the grant, an organisation must provide an activity that is informal, operates outside of school term time and does not require pre-booking or fees to access.

Each district in Hertfordshire will be provided £25,000 from Hertfordshire County Council (HCC).

Grants will be awarded for any amount up to the maximum amount for that district.

With the money, organisations will be able to set up groups to help young people meet and socialise that was made harder by the pandemic.

In the last round of grants, HCC funded a variety of projects including drop-in cafes, Friday-night groups, sport, performing arts and refugee support for young people.
