- A crash caused delays of around an hour on the M1 this morning (October 20)
- Two lanes were closed southbound between junction 6 for Bricket Wood and 5 for Watford at around 7.15am
- All lanes were reopened at around 7.40am after vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder
- But there were queues on the M1 back towards junction 10 for Luton
- The delays lasted beyond 9am with travel time around 50 minutes longer, National Highways said
- Traffic was also really slow on the A405 from Chiswell Green to the M1 interchange in Bricket Wood
- All delays have now cleared
