Vicarage Road will be closed for several nights over the next week or so as “much-needed” resurfacing finally takes place.

The street, which is home to the town’s football club and hospital, will undergo repairs that start tonight.

All of the work will take place during the night with full road closures necessary.

The first phase takes place between the junctions of Hagden Lane and Banbury Street.

It will mean there is no access in this part of Vicarage Road between the hours of 8pm and 5am on October 24, 25, and 26. This will also be the case on November 1.

The other phase of work will be between the junctions of Banbury Street and Farraline Road.

This will also be between 8pm and 5am on October 27, 28, and 31.

Diversion signs will be installed for motorists.
