A proposal to build a pavilion at a historic countryside wedding venue is among the planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Hertsmere and Dacorum councils.

The owners of Micklefield Hall, in Sarratt, have applied to Thee Rivers District Council for permission to demolish an existing marquee at the venue and replace it with a single-storey pavilion to be used in conjunction with the existing buildings.

Weddings and other events have been held at Micklefield Hall for more than 20 years, with its Georgian manor house dating back to 1740.
