Police have issued some details about why a street and a block of flats has been cordoned off.

Officers say they were called to reports of a man with a head injury in Parsonage Road, Rickmansworth at 6.15am this morning (November 7).

Paramedics were already at the scene when officers were called by the East of England Ambulance Service.

No further details have been issued by police at this time about the man’s condition or how or where he sustained his injury.

However, there has been a heavy police presence throughout the day which has included forensic officers.

Parsonage Road has been taped off to drivers and pedestrians between Rectory Lane and High Street with police vehicles parked within the cordon and officers manning the edges of it.

Police vehicles are also parked in a car park for flats that it accessed from Parsonage Road. Photos show a forensics tent was put up by one of the buildings.

Hertfordshire Constabulary issued the following statement just after 3.30pm: “Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service at just before 6.15am this morning (Monday 7 November) to report the concern for the welfare of man with a head injury on Parsonage Road, Rickmansworth.

“Officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended and a man was treated.

“Officers remain in the area while the incident is investigated.”
