Hi, I’m Polly, a ten-year-old lady looking for a new home. I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust two months ago when my owner sadly became too ill to look after me.

I’m a confident, friendly girl and very chatty. I’ll greet you with a “meow” when you arrive and start telling you all about my day. I’m not very interested in toys or grooming - I just want to spend time with you and be the centre of attention.

I love being stroked and especially enjoy a little chin rub. When I’m not in the mood for company I’ll tuck myself into bed for some rest. My new owner will need to be aware of my body language and understand when I need my space. I normally make my feelings known by either meowing for fusses or giving you a stern look if you’re being too noisy when I need my beauty sleep (a typical cat trait)!

Watford Observer:

I’ve been a bit reluctant to meet the other cats here so I’d prefer to be the only pet in the home. I could live with children who are understanding of my needs, but I’ll need to meet everyone I’m going to live with here at the NAWT to make sure we’ll get on.

Watford Observer:

I’d like to live in a house with a garden, so once I’m settled, I can sunbathe and explore outside.

If you could give Polly a good home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 020 8950 0177 (option 2) to arrange to meet.
