- The incident took place between Junction 16 for the M40, and Junction 17 for Rickmansworth.
- According to National Highways, two lanes of four were closed for a time.
- All lanes have since reopened.
- Traffic has eased significantly since the crash.
- Emergency services and traffic officers attended the scene.
