Thousands of pounds have been raised after around 200 people took part in races dressed up as Santa Clause.

The Santa Dash in Cassiobury Park on Sunday, December 4, raised around £4,000 for the charity Mencap, with runners tackling the 1k, 5k or 10k challenge.

A Watford Mencap spokesperson said: “This is one of our key community fundraising events, raising thousands which helps us to provide vital services for local people with learning disabilities.”
