Emergency roadworks are under way after a leaking gas main forced part of a road to close.
Horseshoe Lane in Watford is closed between the A405 North Orbital Road and The Glebe.
The road, which leads to Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside, is not expected to reopen until January 6, 2023.

Gas distribution network, Cadent reported the issue to Hertfordshire County Council on December 27 at 23.39pm.
Cadent Gas is currently working to trace and repair the leaking gas main.
Until the stretch of road reopens, a divergent route has been put into place.
Cadent Gas distributes gas to 11 million homes and business in the UK and has a network of more than 82,000 miles of pipes.
