CCTV images have been released after a Cartier watch was stolen during a burglary.

The break-in happened between 6.35pm and 7pm on Monday, February 20 at a home in Hillcroft Crescent in Watford.

It was reported that a golden necklace and around $200 in cash were also stolen.

Today (February 28), police have released the images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary.

Detective sergeant Darren Machin, from the Three Rivers local crime unit, said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises the men in the images as they are thought to have been in the area around the time of the incident and could be able to assist our enquiries.”

Information can be reported via 101 quoting the crime reference number 41/14731/23.

In a separate incident, police found a large amount of suspected cocaine in a drugs bust.

In the early hours of Wednesday, February 22, officers attended a property in Hallam Close after a tip-off.

A large amount of cannabis was seized, along with a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine, nitrous oxide cannisters, several mobile phones and a knife.

Officers also arrested a 20-year-old man at the scene. He has since been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
