A man has been left horrified after parts of his classic BMW were stolen from outside his home.

Four wheel centres were removed from the vehicle in Cobden Hill, Radlett, between 10pm on Sunday, April 2 and 2pm the following day.

Ben Denton-Cardew, 25, who has worked on classic cars for eight years as a hobby, said: "I looked out the window in abject horror to see someone had nicked these.

"Anyone who owns one of these cars would really love it. It's my hobby.

“I was upset and thought it was awfully cruel that someone would do that.”

The trainee barrister said the parts, which are originals, are worth an estimated £300 each.

In a bid to try and get the pieces returned, Mr Denton-Cardew said they can be handed in to Christ Church & St Johns, Watling Street.

“If they are marked for my attention nothing more will be said,” he said.

The police have said anyone with information can contact 101, quoting crime reference number 41/26982/23.
