With the summer weather finally returning our thoughts turn to how we can make the most of it this weekend.

Here we round up a list of water attractions within an hour of Watford that you could enjoy during the nice weather.

Cassiobury Park Paddling Pools

Three paddling pools are available for children to enjoy in the summer months. While it is free, you need to book your slots as it gets very busy.

Rickmansworth Aquadrome

The popular nature reserve has two lakes, Batchworth and Bury Lake. Personal equipment cannot be used in the lake, but water-based activities can be carried out through the associated clubs.

King George Recreation Ground

The free Tropical Island Splash Park is suitable for families, toddlers and pre-teens. However, it has been beset with problems in recent weeks that has forced repeated closures, including one yesterday (July 18), so best to check online whether it has reopened before travelling.

H20 Rampage

Westmill Farm, Ware
From an inflatable obstacle course to open water swimming there are a number of activities that can be enjoyed at this attraction that is only a 41-minute drive from Watford, according to Google Maps.

Aqua Splash

Luxborough Lake, Luxborough Lane, Chigwell
It is only a 53-minute drive from Watford to this attraction, according to Google Maps. The inflatable water park caters for families, birthdays and team building days.
