Woodside, Watford

In an unrelated incident, police say a gun may have been involved after a wounded man was found at Woodside Playing Fields in Horseshoe Lane at around 7.22pm yesterday (July 19).

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered injuries which are not believed to be life threatening but has apparently been recovering well.

The suspect evaded an “extensive” search of the area, which involved a police helicopter being called out and locals reported seeing armed police. The force is continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information can report it by calling non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 757 of 19 July.
