Three men fled from the scene after the vehicle they were in crashed into another car.

Police were called just after 9.20pm on Saturday, August 26, to reports of a crash in Rickmansworth Road, Watford.

Today, Herts Police told the Watford Observer, it was reported that a black Mercedes had collided with a crash barrier and subsequently hit a silver Mercedes.

All three men in the black Mercedes left the scene before the police arrived, while the driver of the silver Mercedes reported “slight injuries”.

The police have said that anyone with information on the crash can call 101 quoting ISR 731 of 26 August.

Vehicle interference

In an unrelated incident, Miqdad Hassanali, 30, of Kensington Avenue, has been charged with three counts of vehicle interference relating to offences yesterday (August 28) in Sotheron Road, Watford.

A member of the public called police at around 8.20am to report that a person was attempting to gain entry to several cars on the road.

Officers attended and made an arrest minutes later. The vehicles affected were an Audi A8, a Volvo V70, and a Ford Galaxy, but no property was reported as stolen.

Hassanali appeared before Hatfield Remand Court today and was released on bail with strict conditions. He will next appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 18.
