The tracker for the second moped, also a red Honda, was at the premises, but it was not present.

Prior to the owner trying to recover the bikes, the theft had not been reported, and officers in attendance took the crime report from the victim.

The second moped was located a few hours later in the Manor House Park area in Abbots Langley. It was in this area that the three teenagers were then stopped and searched.

Police confirmed that the search was only in connection with one of the thefts.

Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the other theft. The police have been asked if any arrests have been made.
