Hello there, my name is Watson and it’s a pleasure to meet you! I’m a four-year-old ex-racing greyhound who’s looking for a lovely home to retire in.

I was rehomed by the National Animal Welfare Trust in November 2022 but was sadly returned a couple of months ago as I didn’t enjoy living with young children.

I’m a very affectionate boy who really enjoys getting cuddles and fuss from the team here and would love to find a family of my own.

As a greyhound, I’m unable to live with cats, small dogs or other small animals due to my prey drive. I could live with another greyhound or a similar-sized dog to me though. Older teenagers would also be fine.

Although I’m an ex-racer I don’t need lots of exercise but, as I can’t resist chasing things, it’s a good idea for me to wear a muzzle when we go walkies.

I’m not used to being left alone for very long but could last a few hours once I’ve settled in and feel secure. My new family could gradually increase the amount of time I spend alone, so I can be left for longer.
