Magistrates have fined a Watford man for attacking a woman in Basingstoke last year.
Krzysztof Kolasa, of Elton Way, assaulted the woman on Christmas Eve, 2022.
He pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday November 8.
The 46-year-old was fined £540 and a restraining order was imposed, banning him from contacting the victim and another woman directly or indirectly except through another person.
He was also told to pay court costs of £500 and a £216 victim surcharge.
Another charge of criminal damage, which was alleged to have taken place on the same day, was dismissed.

Vehicle interference police appeal
Separately, Herts Police have appealed for information after reports that someone had accessed a vehicle in Chester Road, Watford, between 6.30pm and 10.30pm on November 18.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious has been asked to call police on 101 quoting crime reference 41/92861/23.
