Roads in Watford and Bushey are set to be shut to motorists during this month for resurfacing and works by utility companies.

Although these closures do not affect major routes, drivers and residents may still be inconvenienced while the work takes place.

The following information is sources from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place over the next few weeks:

- Part of Garston Lane, Watford, will be shut from today until Sunday to enable a new service connection to be installed by Leep Electricity Networks Ltd. The work is due to take place between the junctions of Bramfield and Falcon Way and a diversion route will be in place.

- Motorists will be unable to use North Approach, Watford, from 9.30am to 4pm, Saturday to Monday to enable micro-surfacing works to take place. The work is due to happen between the junctions with Greenwood Drive and Sheepcot Lane End.

- Delays are likely in Elstree Road, Bushey, when a lane will be closed from Monday to Wednesday for works by Affinity Water. The work is due to take place close to the A411/A4140 junction.

- A section of St Albans Road, Watford, near to the junction with Purbrock Avenue, is due to be shut to drivers from 8am to 6pm, from December 11 to December 15. This is to allow UK Power Networks to install a new service connection.

- De Vere Walk, Watford, is set to be closed to motorists from December 13 to December 22 for pathway reconstruction works.
