Cricket nets in a school, cemetery developments and a new high street sign are among the public notices in Watford and the surrounding areas this week.

The public notice portal is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices which are happening.

We have rounded up four more notices which could impact residents in Watford in the coming months.

80 The Parade – planning notice

An application has been submitted to display a new sign in Watford Town Centre.

Nationwide has applied and it is currently pending consideration by Watford Borough Council.

It would include the new logo for the bank branch and would be internally illuminated.

It is open to feedback until December 15 and can be viewed on the Watford Borough Council website with the application number 23/00934/ADV.

133 - 135 High Street, Watford – planning notice

A planning application has been submitted to remove the wall between 133 and 135 High Street to connect the shops.

It also includes painting the shop front dark grey and adding new signage.

According to the planning application, Ocean Bells Coffee shop will be expanding to cover the two shop spaces.

It is a grade II listed building and will also have outdoor seating, similar to the shop’s current style.

St Margaret's School – planning permission

The school in Bushey has submitted planning permission to Hertsmere Borough Council to install cricket nets.

It will include four nets and will be constructed on the school pitch.

The school plans to use the cricket area as part of the summer field which is different to the area used in winter.

Feedback can be given via the Hertsmere Borough Council website until December 15 with the application number 23/1562/FUL/AKA.

Bushey Jewish Cemetery

The cemetery has submitted an application to build two portacabins within the existing overflow car park.

This would be used as a storage, packing and delivery unit for charity food distribution.

The project run by United Synagogue would also include asylum-seeker support service in the cabin.

It currently supports between 130 to 150 households per week.  

It is open to feedback on the Hertsmere Borough Council website under application number 23/1616/FUL until December 15.
