Santas took over Watford for a festive run in Cassiobury Park last weekend.

The Mencap Santa Dash on Sunday, December 3, included a 1km and 5km run for 175 people decked out in their most festive attire.

It aimed to raise funds and awareness for the charity which provides services for people with learning difficulties in Watford.

Participants were encouraged to dress in Christmas costumes and wear Father Christmas hats whilst they dashed through the park.

Michelle Hamilton, Fundraising Manager at Watford Mencap, said: "The Warner Bros Studio Leavesden sponsored Santa Dash not only brings joy but also helps us make a significant difference in the lives of those we support.

"We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to this great family day out."

MP for Watford, Dean Russell attended the event at Cassiobury Park.

The MP added: “The Santa Dash is more than just a run; it's a celebration of the strong Watford community who are always keen to support charities and good causes.

"Watford Mencap plays a leading role in supporting those with learning disabilities, and it is a pleasure to support their fundraising activities."
