Hello there, my name’s Timmy and it’s wonderful to meet you. I’m a lovely, 13-year-old chap who’s hoping a lovely family will come and whisk me away from this cattery!
I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust last November when my elderly owner could no longer care for me properly.
The NAWT team have been looking after me very well but I’m finding it stressful here. An old boy like me shouldn't be in a place like this and I’m showing lots of signs that I’m uncomfortable by hissing and tensing my body when people try to stroke me.
When I’ve got to know a member of the team I do like to have some tasty treats from them, so I have lots of potential to become a very friendly boy in my new home where it’s a less stressful environment.
As I’m quite shy, I need a home with people over 16 as they tend to be quieter and more aware of my body language. I’d like to be the only cat in the home, as I find other cats and dogs very worrying.
When I’ve settled in, I’ll need outdoor access to a secure, quiet garden. I’ll need to live near quiet roads to build up my road sense. I probably won't go far though, as I like curling up asleep in my bed too much!
If you have room for an older boy like me to keep you company, apply for me today. Email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2).
