Hello there, my name’s Ruby and this is my sister, Pearl. We’re a pair of four-year-old girls looking for a lovely new home together.

We were adopted from the National Animal Welfare Trust a couple of years ago but had to come back in October when our owners moved.

We can be shy, but if we know there’s food on offer we get a bit more confident. We’ll need our new family to take things slowly with us and earn our trust with lots of tasty vegetables!

Watford Observer: Ruby or Pearl

Hi, and my name is Boris, a four-year-old male guinea pig, and I came to the NAWT just before Christmas when my owners’ circumstances changed.

I’m a sweet boy who enjoys the simpler things in life, such as good quality hay, herbs and greens, as well as having snuggly beds to hide in!

I’ve been living on my own for a while, but once I’ve been neutered - happening soon! - I can live with girl guinea pigs, so there need to be some females to bond with in my new home.

Watford Observer: Boris

We can all live with children of any age but any handling by them must be supervised by an adult and done at our level as we guinea pigs are scared of heights.

Whether you’re interested in me or Ruby and Pearl, we’ll need accommodation that’s at least 5ft x 2ft x 2ft. We must live indoors in our new homes as it’s far too cold to move outside now.

Guinea pigs make great pets! If you can give any of us a good home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2).
