A man has been sentenced for driving dangerously and without insurance in Watford town centre.

Shkelzen Lashi, of Magpie Close in Enfield, pleaded guilty to three vehicle offences at St Albans Crown Court on February 2.

The 25-year-old was sentenced for driving his Blue Audi A4 dangerously in the Beechen Grove part of the ring road on December 9.

The defendant also admitted driving without a licence or third-party insurance.

He was handed a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and disqualified from holding a driving licence for 18 months and until an extended test has been passed.

Lashi will also have to attend up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity and carry out 100 hours unpaid work.

In a separate case, Trey Kabwe, of Watford High Street, appeared at St Albans Magistrates' Court on January 30, accused of failing to stop after a road accident involving a Vauxhall Combo Van in Horseshoe Lane, Watford, on July 1 last year.

Kabwe is accused of driving his Toyota Prius “without due care and attention”, and without insurance or the correct licence.

The 23-year-old was remanded on unconditional bail until his plea hearing on February 22.
