Watford Rotary recently celebrated a century of service to the community with a VIP-attended supper at Shendish Manor.
VIP guests included the Kings Representative for Hertfordshire Lord-Lieutenant Robert Voss, Watford MP Dean Russell, Watford Mayor Peter Taylor, Rotary UK Board chairman Robert Morris, and district governor Barbara Middleton.
International guests from Watford Rotary's sister club in Nancy, France also attended.
A letter from King Charles was read by Lord-Lieutenant Voss, extending congratulations and good wishes to Watford Rotary.
The event, noted to be a successful recognition of the Rotary's dedication was enriched by a meal from Shendish Manor, and live performances from the Rickmansworth Players.
Dancing wrapped up the evening’s festivities.
Proceeds from the soiree's raffle and silent auction will support Watford Blind Centre's modernisation efforts, The Peace Hospice, and further local charities.
