Hello everyone, I’m Maple and this is my brother Rufus. We’re a pair of shy, four-year-old boys looking for a new home together. We were originally adopted from the National Animal Welfare Trust as kittens but returned five months ago due to a change in our owner’s circumstances.

We’re looking for a semi-rural home with a nice and cosy outdoor sheltered space we could live in as we find being around people all the time too overwhelming. Once we’ve settled in, we’d like to be able to go out and explore the area around us as we love being outside.

A farm or yard set-up would be ideal as we’d have more freedom and not too many expectations from people.

We’d do well in a home that likes cats that do their own thing and pop in for food and a chin scratch every now and then!

Rufus is the more tolerant of the two of us and the carers here have been able to touch him although he doesn't enjoy it. I most definitely don’t want people to touch me – it’s too scary.

We know most people want affectionate cats who like to be around people but we’re really hoping that someone out there will have a home for us to settle into and learn that people aren't that scary! Getting us out of the noisy cattery and into a safe place would be so rewarding for someone.

If you think you have the purrfect set up for us, then apply for us today. Email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2).
