Three neighbouring roads in Watford are set to be shut for several hours each day for a week this month to allow “difficult to access” gullies to be cleaned.

Durban Road East, Durban Road West and Pretoria Road are all due to be affected by the closures taking place from March 14 to March 18.

There are also works due to take place in Rickmansworth Road and Watford Road on March 10.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks due to take place later this month.

- A lane is due to be closed in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, on March 10 outside the Town Hall to allow for window and gully cleaning.

- Delays are also likely on March 10 in Watford Road, Watford, when a lane will be closed for UK Power Networks to carry out works. The company is due to be installing a new service connection close to the Harvester roundabout between 9am and 6pm.

- A section of Water Lane, Watford, will be closed overnight from March 11 for a month for a programme of works. The road is due to be shut from 8pm to 5am daily until April 12 between Beechen Grove and High Street to allow junction improvement, pathway, drainage and road marking works to take place.

- Windsor Road, Watford, will be closed to drivers from March 11 to March 13 to enable road lining works to be carried out. The closure is due to apply from 7.30am to 6pm on these days between A412 St Albans Road and Sandown Road.

- Garsmouth Way and Gadswell Close, Watford, are set to be shut from March 11 to March 13 for road sweeping to take place. The closure is due to apply between 7.30am and 6pm. Garsmouth Way will be shut from Meriden Way to York Way and including Gadswell Close.

- A daytime road closure will be in place in Bedford Street, Watford, from March 11 to March 18 to allow UK Power Networks to install a new service connection. The street will be shut from 8am to 6pm each day.

- Three Watford streets are set to be shut to motorists from March 14 to March 18 for the cleaning of what are described as “difficult to access” gullies. The roads affected are Pretoria Road, from Chester Road to Durban Road East; Durban Road East, from Whippendell Road to the end of Durban Road East; Durban Road West, from Whippendell Road to Mildred Avenue. One.Network states the closures will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day. A diversion will be in place.
