Motorists using roads approaching an underground station should expect some disruption during the next week due to roadworks.

Part of Station Approach, near to Rickmansworth Station, is due to be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to pathway reconstruction works – the same reason why a lane will be closed on nearby Station Roundabout from Wednesday.

Drivers may also experience delays in Chorleywood Road and Whippendell Road, Watford, next week while utility companies are carrying out works.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks due to be carried out across our area over the next few weeks:

- Pathway reconstruction works mean Station Approach, Rickmansworth, will be closed to motorists on Saturday and Sunday. The road will be shut from the Station Road bridge to the Station Car Park entrance.

- Two-way traffic lights will be in use in Chorleywood Road, Rickmansworth, on Monday and Tuesday for works by Virgin Media. These are due to be carried out between 9am and 4.30pm near to the junction with Loudwater Lane.

- Delays are likely in Whippendell Road, Watford, from Monday to Wednesday when Affinity Water will be carrying out works. These are due to take place between the junctions with Queens Avenue and Harwoods Road and two-way traffic lights will be in use.

- Motorists should expect delays at Station Roundabout, Rickmansworth, from Wednesday to Saturday, March 30 when a lane will be closed for pathway reconstruction works. These will be taking place between Chorleywood Road and Park Road.

- Gully cleaning works are set to close Milton Street, Watford, from 9.30am to 3.30pm, from Tuesday to Thursday.

- Works by Virgin Media are likely to cause delays in Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, from April 2 to April 4. Two-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Money Hill Road.

- Micro surfacing works are due to shut Banbury Street, Watford, to motorists during daytime hours from April 4 to April 6. The road will be closed from 7.30am to 6pm from Aynho Street to Vicarage Road.

- Neighbouring Souldern Street, Watford, is also set to be closed to drivers between 7.30am to 6pm, from April 4 to April 6 for micro surfacing works. The road will be shut from Aynho Street to Vicarage Road.
