A major road is set to be closed to traffic to allow a crane to be dismantled.

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to temporarily shut a section of Clarendon Road, Watford, while another order has been granted to shut part of Hagden Lane for roadworks.

Details of these orders have been published in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.

Clarendon Road – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to temporarily close part of Clarendon Road, Watford, to dismantle a crane.

The order will prevent all traffic from using the road from its junction with A411 Beechen Grove north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Gartlet Road, a distance of approximately 162m.

This is to allow a mobile crane to be placed on the road to dismantle a tower crane.

If made, the order will come into force on April 6, 2024 and be valid for up to 18 months, but restrictions will only apply at the times shown on signs on or near the road.

Estate of Jacqueline Fearn

Any person having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Jacqueline Fearn, late of 106 Woodland Drive, Watford, Herts WD17 3LB, who died on February 11, 2024, should send details in writing to Hill Dickinson LLP, The Broadgate Tower, 20 Primrose Street, London EC2A 2EW.

This should be done on or before May 23, 2024.

Hagden Lane – temporary closure

Herts County Council had made an order order to prevent vehicles from using a section of the A4145 Hagden Lane, Watford, to allow roadworks to be carried out.

The road is set to be shut from its junction with Benskin Road north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Belgrave Avenue, a distance of approximately 336m.

Additionally, all vehicles will be prevented from waiting at any time on both sides of the road while the works take place.

The order came into effect on March 25, 2024 and is valid for up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times indicated by signs at or near the road.

Estate of Angela Mary Ernestine Imber

Angela Mary Ernestine Imber, late of 36 Rudolph Road, Bushey, Herts WD23 3DU, died on January 4, 2024.

Estate of John Wilfred Cecil Cook

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of John Wilfred Cecil Cook, late of 73 Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, Herts WD3 3LT, who died on February 4, 2021, must send written details to Graham Evans & Partners, Moorgate House, 6 Christina Street, Swansea, SA1 4EW.

This should be done on or before May 16, 2024.
