The charitable division of a construction and house building firm has donated £30,000 to a youth mental health organisation.

A supporter since 2018, the Bugler Foundation's donation will assist Signpost's ongoing effort to help people aged 10 to 25 in Hertfordshire combat mental health issues.

The increasing number of young people dealing with mental health problems can benefit from continuous provision of counselling, coaching and other support.

Nicola Lee, head of therapeutic and specialist support services for Signpost and One YMCA, said: "We are extremely grateful for Bugler's sustained support for Signpost.

"Their very generous donation will help us to continue providing trauma informed one-to-one counselling to support children and young people, helping them to better understand and manage their mental health."

Established as part of One YMCA, Signpost encourages self-referrals, aiding young individuals to become independent of their services after an average of eight sessions.

The focus is to guide them towards a place of "wellbeing independence".

One YMCA, to which Signpost is affiliated, seeks to help individuals achieve their full potential in "body, mind and spirit" by shaping communities which are open to all.

The Bugler Foundation is part of the Bugler Group, a family-owned construction and property development business based in Rickmansworth.

The foundation, has supported a range of local causes including mental health, grassroots sports and local education.

Andy Bugler, Bugler Group CEO said: “We are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Signpost Counselling and One YMCA.

"Helping young people get the support they need for their mental health and wellbeing has always been a pillar of the Bugler Foundation.

"This latest donation of £30,000 will ensure that more 10-25 year olds across Hertfordshire can be helped through the work of Signpost and One YMCA."

The partnership between the Bugler Foundation and Signpost was officially announced on October 10, 2018, on World Mental Health Day.

The Bugler Foundation's recurring support for Signpost Counselling underscores their ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of young people.

This £30,000 donation is a significant boost to the youth mental health charity, equipping it to effectively ally the current rise in mental health issues among young people in Hertfordshire.
