A celebrity football match is set to take place at Vicarage Road on May 5, benefitting children's bereavement charity Grief Encounter.

The game, marking the charity's 20th anniversary, will be hosted by Sellebrity Soccer, and kick-off at 3pm.

YouTube favourites Chunkz and Sharky, along with well-known faces such as Dean Gaffney, Owen Warner, Louis Matthews, Ricky Groves, Dan Osborne, and former Watford defender Lloyd Doyley are among those confirmed to play.

ITV’s Love Island's Ouzy See, Adam Maxted, and Billy Brown will also grace the Vicarage Road turf.

In addition to the entertainment on the pitch, the match aims to raise funds and awareness for Grief Encounter's essential services.

As a leading UK charity, they offer key support for bereaved children, young people, and their families following the death of a loved one.

Children facing such grief without professional support are at risk of behavioural and academic issues, isolation, poor school attendance, and early unemployment.

Kevin Cooper, CEO of Sellebrity Soccer, said: "We are thrilled to bring the Sellebrity Football Match to Watford FC's iconic stadium in aid of Grief Encounter.

"This event allows us to support this wonderful charity in their essential work with bereaved children and families, whilst also celebrating their 20 years of service, and showcasing the incredible talent of our celebrity participants and former footballing greats."

Sellebrity Soccer's previous events have garnered an impressive line-up of celebrities and footballing legends.

The full list of those taking part in the match is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
