A Watford serial shoplifter and fragrance thief have both been taken to court this week.
Jessica Ellis, 28, of Coates Way, appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on Tuesday, April 16, just days after after she was released on bail over various theft and burglary offences.
She previously pleaded guilty to seven counts of burglary, five thefts, two attempted thefts, one attempted burglary, fraud by false representation, and breaking a community protection notice.
Labelled a “persistent thief” by Hertfordshire Police, Ellis received a curfew and electronic tag before sentencing, but was charged and taken back to court this week for breaking her bail conditions.

Her various crimes include breaking into a McDonald's in Watford three times in December and February and trying to use another person’s bank card to withdraw £120 for herself in the town on March 21.

She was released again on conditional bail and will be sentenced for all the offences at Stevenage Magistrates' Court on May 30.
Victoria Paterson, of Coates Dell, Watford, also appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on Tuesday charged with theft over an incident in the atria shopping centre the previous day.
The 40-year-old admitted taking a fragrance set from Boots without making any attempt to pay and was ordered to pay a £40 fine.
