Businesses in Watford, Kings Langley and Rickmansworth have been left a total of £155,000 out of pocket after Body Shop went bust.
Administrators for the cosmetics chain said in February that it would close 75 stores in the UK and cut 489 jobs amid “an extended period of financial challenges."
Despite the announcement the three shops in Watford, Hatfield and St Albans remained open.
But the full extent of its debts was revealed in a document filed on Companies House on Wednesday, April 17, which showed it owes more than £276m to creditors including landlords, suppliers and tax authorities.

It revealed that car rental service Tusker Direct, based in Hatters Lane, Watford, was one of hundreds of businesses left out of pocket as it is owed a total of £62,491.52.
Body Shop also left debts of £91,206.83 to Century Engineering & Refrigeration, based in Station Road, Kings Langley, who declined to comment.
Susan and David Tippen, registered at an address in Rickmansworth, were also named in the filing as being owed £1,873.49 by the chain.
Administrators FRP Advisory declined to comment on individual cases, but noted that it will file a Company Voluntary Arrangement which would compensate the creditors if approved, although it is not clear how much they will receive.
Tusker Direct has been contacted for comment.
