Emergency repairs have caused the closure of the A411 Lower High Street between Watford town centre and Bushey.
The works, conducted by Cadent Gas, began last night (Friday, April 19) and are scheduled to last until 11.59pm on Monday, April 29.
The stretch affected runs from Bushey Arches towards Dalton Way.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council revealed this morning (Saturday, April 20): "Cadent Gas are undertaking emergency repairs under 24/7 direction.
