New photos have revealed the latest progress of a 133-home estate on a former industrial site in Watford.

Construction is well on its way at the 29 to 43 Sydney Road development as the concrete frames of the two towers can be seen taking shape.

The development will provide 133 homes, of which 38 will be classed as affordable, across the seven and 10-storey buildings.

The internal frame of the larger tower has reached eight floors so far, while construction of the smaller building is currently at four storeys at its highest point.

Architecture firm PRC has advertised the redevelopment as a chance to “regenerate an outdated industrial site” with “high quality” apartments, which will feature “green roofs” and communal roof terraces.

While the shape of the towers can be seen above the surrounding homes, the area has also seen significant development as it is situated next to the already-complete 227-home scheme on the former Watford Laundry Factory site.
