A loyal and lovely natured dog who was rescued from a rehoming shelter in Cyprus has been named as the Watford Observer’s Pet Idol 2024.
Cooper, who lives in Abbots Langley and is a mongrel but predominantly a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever cross, came from the Nicosia Dog Rehoming and Rehousing centre as a four-month-old puppy.
Now three, owner Nina Gibbons commented on Cooper’s picture: “Amongst the forget me nots today. The gorgeous boy who we rescued from Cyprus, and who rescued us right back!”
Nina described Cooper as “loyal, loves his mini humans, is lovely natured and has been absolutely perfect”.
The Watford Observer would like to thank all the pets and owners who took part in the competition after we invited newspaper readers to send us pictures of their family pets looking their very best, at their most mischievous and of course at their cutest!
